bedbugsBed bugs are returning as a threat to the modern home. The increase of international travel has allowed bed bugs to spread at an alarming rate, even finding their way into fine hotels. Your clothing and luggage could have become infested in your hotel room, or even during your plane ride.

Bed bugs are resilient pests. They can survive for up to a year without feeding, and have recently been found to be resistant to most traditional insecticides. Each bed bug lays around 200 eggs at a time, and can hide inside mattresses, sofas, pictures, and wallpaper. This means that simply throwing out your mattress is not enough. The entire room must be thoroughly inspected and treated.

Bed bugs are nocturnal, emerging nightly to drink your blood while you sleep. While their bites can cause itchiness, redness, and swelling, roughly half of all people do not show any signs of have been bitten.
